WIPO Green

One of our specialist areas of expertise is green technologies. With our expertise, we support companies, organizations and individuals in the search, research and development of green technologies and are also available to protect inventions or technical improvements in this field. Our focus is on sustainability, the careful use of resources, ecological energy production, in particular natural energy resources and the transformation of fossil fuels into renewable forms of energy.

These technically highly complex technologies, which are often difficult to protect under patent law, have been our focus since the beginning of our activities. From materials science and manufacturing processes to the finished product or application, we transform inventions in the various green technology areas into patents or utility models.

Germany is one of the driving forces behind green technologies, but these are often not afforded the necessary protective measures with which conventional technologies have been protected since the introduction of patent law. The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva has therefore launched the WIPO GREEN project, which aims to bring together the players in this special area of patent law.

Patent Attorney Alexander M. Bach  is member of the expert group of the WIPO GREEN project since its launch and supports those working in this field by providing advice on aspects of Intellectual Property. Mr. Bach's experience in computer science and physics including aerosol physics, air pollution, determination of physical properties of dirt particles and combustion products, as well as computer-based work in the fields of measurement technology and sensor technology, optics provide a good basis for this. Our expertise comprises as well, supporting inventors during the development process on the one hand and identifying patentable inventions at every stage of development on the other.
